Regular donation
As a private individual, you can help those who have the least in several ways.
You can support Mændenes Hjem’s work by giving a one-time donation, a fixed monthly amount, or you can choose to donate your inheritance.
With a one-time donation, you support once, and you choose the amount yourself. You can also become a Friend of Mændenes Hjem. As a Friend of Mændenes Hjem, you give a fixed monthly amount that creates long-term help and hope for the most vulnerable in society.
A contribution – large or small – helps to provide:
- A warm and safe place to be
- Good and nutritious meals
- Clean clothes that are appropriate for the season
- An important community among other vulnerable people, employees, and volunteers
- Conversations and understanding for those who are completely alone with mental health challenges and/or substance use.
- Help the vulnerable on their way to a better and more dignified life
All donations to Mændenes Hjem are tax-deductible. In 2025, you can deduct up to DKK 19,000. When you provide your CPR number, we will automatically report it to SKAT.

Your legacy can change lives
Since 1910, Mændenes Hjem has provided shelter, food, and care to the most vulnerable in society – through generations before our own.
Our work will continue long after us if we help it along.
When you choose to remember Mændenes Hjem in your will, you are passing on something that extends far beyond your own lifetime. You are helping to ensure that the door remains open in the future for those who need it most – and that no one has to stand alone in their life crisis.
Your inheritance can become warm meals, clean clothes, access to health, a place to rest, and someone to listen. It becomes hope, community, and life-changing help for the homeless, drug users, and mentally vulnerable – here and now and in the years to come.

Exempt from Inheritance Tax
Mændenes Hjem is approved as a charitable organization and exempt from inheritance tax. This means that the entire amount you, as a private individual, bequeath to us goes unreduced to the work of helping some of the most vulnerable people in Denmark.
Give a Percentage, a Fixed Portion, or your Entire Inheritance
Your will can be formulated in many ways, depending on whether you have heirs and how you want to distribute your assets. You can choose to give a percentage, a fixed amount, or bequeath your entire fortune to Mændenes Hjem.
If you have no heirs and have not written a will, your entire inheritance will go to the state.

If you wish to create a will that benefits Mændenes Hjem, we offer to cover up to DKK 5,000 of the cost of preparing a will.
