With the clothing project, Mændenes Hjem ensures that the most vulnerable in society have access to clean, complete and weather-appropriate clothing.
The clothing project consists of two parts: The Clothing Depot and distribution to users. The project is driven by volunteers and is based on principles of recycling, social responsibility and respect for the individual.
The donated clothes make a tangible difference for people who often lack access to basic necessities. A warm jacket in winter, dry socks in the rain, or a clean set of clothes for an important meeting – these can be crucial for both physical and mental well-being.
The Clothing Depot – the Heart of the Clothing Project
All clothing donations received at Men’s Home are handled in the Clothing Depot. Here, the clothes are sorted with attention to quality and function. Clothes suitable for life on the streets are distributed free of charge to vulnerable individuals – either through the distribution window at the Clothing Depot or through Men’s Home’s other services.
There is a particular focus on seasonal relevance and practical usability, ensuring the right clothes reach those who need them most.
Clothes that cannot be used or sold are sent for textile recycling – nothing goes to waste.
